Ramadan is not simply a month of fasting—it is the month of the Quran. It is the month in which the Divine Revelation descended as guidance for humanity. Allah (SWT) reminds us:
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَىٰ وَالْفُرْقَانِ ۚ
The month of Ramadan is one in which the Quran was sent down as guidance to mankind, with manifest proofs of guidance and the Criterion. (Surah Al-Baqara, verse 185)
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ further emphasized the immense reward of recitation when he said:
“Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a reward for it, and the reward will be multiplied by ten.”
If the reward of each letter is multiplied, and if Ramadan itself multiplies all good deeds, then the recitation of the Quran during this noble month carries immeasurable blessings.
