Through memories of his personal journey to Islam, Ubaydullah emphasises on loving God in Islam and gives some examples from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as role model.
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) thought us about dedication, rigger, devotion, obedience but he thought us to be lovers of the divine. But us loving God is part of the equation. The much more important part is God loving us.
Quran says, “If you love God, follow me. God will love you and he will forgive your sins.” This is essential to our faith. We need to use the Prophet (PBUH) examples as a measuring stick. Then you can struggle against yourself in your life and in your prayers.
