Single day Interfaith Islam-Christianiy Conference

“The Lord is my strength and my defence, He has become my Salvation. He is my God and I will praise Him” Exodus 15:2

DarulQuran Academy is grateful to all the participants that took part in our conference, and to the scholars and university students that accepted our invitation and honoured us with their presence in this conference. The Department of Comparative Studies of Religions at DarulQuran Academy held an event based on the two Holy Books, The Quran and the Bible.
We witnessed a warm welcome by the participants of this event. 112 people listened to our prominent speakers, and also had the opportunity to ask questions. Our hosts, Mr Hussain Mahdi and Dr Marziya Shariati, the Deputy Director of the Department of Comparative Religious Studies, made a great effort towards the success of this event.
To begin the conference, we had some beautiful verses of the Quran and the Bible recited by Ms Kiana Kiahemshaki.
“Do good, for Allah loves those who do good” Quran 2:195
This gathering of Muslim and Christian scholars was a beautiful event that DarulQuran had the pleasure of hosting with the help of Allah, and we hope to gather together again very soon.

In this conference, our key speakers and guest speakers made beautiful speeches. We had Professor Rudolph Boshoff who spoke about moral advancements in Christianity and Islam by examining the ethical teachings of Muhammad and Jesus Christ, and the significant role of theistic beliefs and ethical frameworks in guiding individuals towards virtuous conduct.

Dr Curtis Andrew Rigsby, professor of philosophy and religion at Hiroshima University, discussed commonalities and encouraged solidarity between Christians and Muslims. He elaborated about gender ideology in particular, offering his thoughts about Biblical hermeneutics, including how the Bible is relevant to culture today.

Illies Sidlakhdar focused on Muslim practices in a secular country with Christian roots, for example the discussion that is currently taking place in France.

Dr Hamidreza Mohammedian who has a Ph.D in Quranic Sciences made a speech about moral advancements in Christianity and Islam by examining the ethical teachings of Muhammad and Jesus Christ. At the end of this single-day conference, participants asked questions and received answers from our speakers.

The video of this Conference is available on DarulQuran Academy website, and if you are interested in being notified about our future events, follow us here or drop us a message!
