On September 17th at 10 AM UK time, the first free Tajwid workshop was held in celebration of the blessed birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S).
This free, ladies-only event brought together a community of women dedicated to enhancing their Quranic recitation skills.
The workshop commenced with a soulful recitation of verses 34 to 36 of Surah An-Nur by an eminent Qari, a student of one of DarulQuran’s esteemed instructors.
This recitation set the tone for a session that promised both spiritual enrichment and educational depth.
Leading the session was the renowned Dr. Khanbaba, an expert in the science of Tajwid known for her vast experience and insightful teaching methods.
She guided participants through an engaging exploration of the topic: “What is Qalqalah and the difference between the Qalqalah of the letters ق and ط and the letters ب، ج، and د.”
Her clear explanations and practical approach helped attendees grasp the nuances of proper pronunciation, essential for perfecting Quranic recitation.
The workshop featured interactive exercises, allowing participants to practice under Dr. Khan Baba’s expert guidance.
This hands-on approach was met with enthusiasm, as participants actively engaged in the practice sessions. Dr. Khanbaba provided personalized feedback, ensuring a thorough understanding and improvement in their recitation skills.
In honor of the Prophet Muhammad (S), who emphasized the beauty and accuracy of Quranic recitation, one of DarulQuran Academy’s renowned instructors also recited Surah Al-Fath, further enhancing the spiritual ambiance of the workshop.
It’s also worth mentioning that, during and at the end of the session, Dr. Khanbaba recited verses from the Holy Quran.
She took the time to answer participants’ questions and correct their mistakes, offering a comprehensive learning experience.
The success of this workshop marks just the beginning of more enriching programs to come.
Stay tuned for updates on our future Tajwid workshops as we continue this journey toward mastering the art of Quranic recitation.
