Learning Ahkam in the Holy Month of Ramadhan
Ramadhan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. The month of fasting (sawm), praying, reflection, and community. Ramadhan lasts for twenty-nine to thirty days, from one sighting of the crescent moon to the next.
The word Ramadhan is derived from the Arabic root R-M-Ḍ (ر-م-ض), “scorching heat,” which is the Classical Arabic verb “ramiḍa (رَمِضَ),” meaning “become intensely hot – become burning; become scorching; be blazing; be glowing.”
The common practice in this month is to fast from dawn to sunset. Also, the pre-dawn meal before the fast is called the Suhur, while the meal at sunset that breaks the fast is called Iftar.
Muslims are advocated to recite the Quran, which accommodates thirty ajza (sections), over the thirty days of Ramadan. It is believed that God forgives the past sins of those who observe the holy month with fasting, prayer, and faithful intention.
Ramadhan is considered one of the holiest months of the year for Muslims. DarulQuran Academy held 6 sessions Ramadan Ahkam Workshop.
Ahkam is an Islamic term with several meanings. It means arbitration, judgement, authority, or God’s will and refers to specific Quranic rules. The five prayers during Ramadhan are:
Daily prayers: 1. Fajr prayer. 2. Zuhr prayer. 3. Asr prayer. 4. Maghrib prayer. 5. Isha prayer.
A sublime Ahkam tutor came to teach all essential Ahkams of Ramadhan in four sessions, and our users asked and put all their questions under discussion during these workshop sessions.
This was a lucrative opportunity for adults, and parents, distinctly those with young adults, with a special offer of 30 ponds for 6 sessions of Ramadhan Ahkam. They learned the correct recitation of five prayers, the Quran, and the rules of fasting.
We were all summoned to the great divine feast, Ahkam workshop was an opportunity to be aware of the rules of this holy feast. We engulfed the rules of fasting and daily prayers in 6 sessions.
